The City of Carson’s Annual Philippine Independence Day Celebration is the biggest event in the City of Carson with thousands of people from all over Southern California in attendance. It begins with a flag raising ceremony, followed by an ecumenical service, and a holy mass. The parade/cultural street dance participated in by different Filipino-American, City-affiliated, and school-based organizations officially open the program. This year’s featured indigenous group is the “Igorot”. Igorot dancers will thus be leading the parade.
Non-stop entertainment follows with headliners from ABS-CBN-The Filipino Channel.
Interactive booths, exhibits, food and non-food vendors, and a children’s area make the event ideal for families and people of all ages.
