The LBBA will be a force to reckon with in Long Beach. These are the dates:
The Long Beach Bacolod Association cordially invites you to the following events :

July 26, Evening Concert and Awards Night honoring the Port of Long Beach at CSULB. The awards will go to Guy Fox, Chairman of the International Seafarers Center at the Port of Long Beach and long-time advocate of international trade and Mr. John Orola, City Manager of the port City of Bacolod, Philippines and the owner/President of the largest Maritime school in the Philippines. The concert will be from the Filipino America Symphonic Orchestra (FASO). Those in attendance will receive a free ticket to our August 31 full FASO orchestra concert at the Carpenter Performing Arts Center.

July 27th, International Trade Seminar, also at CSULB. How to finance your exports and trade opportunities in the Philippines. Speakers confirmed are Greg Moore of the Export-Import Bank of the United States, Martin Slander, trade specialist for the Small Business Administration, and Ms. May Celynne Layug, Trade Commissioner of the Philippine Dept. of Trade, San Francisco Philippine Consulate General. We have also invited Leah Goold-Haws, of the CITD Long Beach and the Consul General of the Philippines, Adelito Angelito S. Cruz. This will be the first of five International Trade Seminars organized by the LBBA for 2018. John, please say some remarks of opportunities in your great city of Bacolod.

Evening of July 27th. Movie premier night , Stateside at CSULB. This movie is directed by our own executive director Marcial Chavez of the LBBA. The movie centers about the trials and tribulations of a newly arrived Filipino immigrant.

July 28-29th Masskara Festival at Recreation Park , Long Beach at the bandshell. This is our first annual event. Song , Dance and Food. 9:00 AM to 7PM. We would be willing to have a sister city section for each sister city to display their organization at their own booth. Please wear your national costume . John, we need festival masks we can give out. We expect 2k people.
