The Consulate General is pleased to announce that “Kna the Dreamweaver” will be screened at the Regal Cinemas LA Live 9, on 26 March 2016 at 10:00 a.m.

“Kna, the Dreamweaver”,  written and directed by Ms. Ida Anita del Mundo who will be present during the screening, was one of the official entries for the New Breed Category in Cinemalaya 2014.  It is a story about K’na, a young T’boli woman, who was chosen by the gods to be the next dreamweaver and has the chance to weave together the warring clans of her village.  But in order to do so, she is going to give up true love.  The film also showcases breathtaking sceneries in Lake Sebu and the T’boli tradition T’nalak costumes.

The film won the Best of Show (top prize) at the 2015 Female Eye International Film Festival, Toronto, Canada; an Indie Bravo Awardee of the Philippine Daily Inquirer; and a recipient of the Ani ng Dangal Award from the National Commission of the Culture and the Arts (NCCA).
