LOS ANGELES, California — On Saturday, October 21, 2017, at 1:00pm, the Los Angeles Chapter of the Filipino American National Historical Society (FANHS) will be showing a documentary, “Fall of the I Hotel” by Curtis Choy, commemorating the 40th Anniversary of the fall of the International Hotel at the Echo Park Branch Library located at 1410 West Temple Street in Los Angeles as part of Filipino American History Month event. This will be a FREE EVENT hosted by Friends of the Echo Park Library. The film screening will be followed by a panel discussion. Light refreshments will be available, as well as Filipino snacks (courtesy of Ruby’s Diner) to benefit FANHS LA Students’ fundraiser to the 17th Biennial FANHS Conference set for Chicago from July 11-14, 2017. FANHS Los Angeles Chapter will have informational and fundraising items as well. October is Filipino American History Month.
