The 8th Annual City of Carson’s Larry Itliong Day Celebration is taking place on Saturday, October 21, 2017, at Veterans Park. The event highlights a short parade (around the park) participated in by different Filipino organizations, labor groups, and schools/colleges/universities; the Larry Itliong Labor Awards; and speeches from Johnny Itliong of the Larry Itliong Foundation on Education and Larry Itliong’s son, and Lorraine Agtang of the United Farm workers of America(UFW), one of the last surviving Filipino grape strikers who began the Delano Grape Strike in 1965 under the leadership of Larry Itliong.

The following is the event schedule:

8:00 am to 9:00 am – Parade Assembly Time
9:00 am to 9:30 am – Parade
9:30 am to 12:00 pm – Program
