	SISTER CITIES SIGNPOST DEDICATION CEREMONY
	Los Angeles, 27 January 2012 – Councilman Tom LaBonge, Consul General Mary Jo Bernardo Aragon and Consuls General and representatives from other consulates, and guests pose for a souvenir photo during the official unveiling and dedication ceremony of the Sister Cities Signpost in front of the Los Angeles Convention Center located in downtown Los Angeles.
	Since the creation of the Sister Cities International in 1956 by President Dwight D. Eisenhower, Los Angeles has established sister city agreement with 25 cities around the world. The cities of Makati and Los Angeles have been sister cities since 28 January 1992. A similar signpost could be found in the Los Angeles City Hall area.
