Los Angeles, 8
August 2011 – The Philippine Consulate General in Los Angeles wishes to
inform the public that it will give priority to the elderly, or senior
citizens (60 years old and above), in the lines for processing passport
renewals. This is pursuant to Republic
Act No. 9994, which granted additional benefits and privileges to senior
citizens. Senior citizens
are advised to go directly to the Interview Room at the Rizal/Community Hall
of the Philippine Consulate General, for processing of the renewal of their passport,
which includes data capturing. The
Interview Room has more space and can accommodate senior citizens in
wheelchairs. The public’s kind
understanding is requested on this matter. ### |
