	NOTICE ON RELEASING DOCUMENTS
	Los Angeles, 3 May 2011 – As a general rule, the Philippine Consulate General in Los Angeles wishes to inform the public that, effective immediately, a signed letter of authorization from the applicants will be required prior to the release of any documents (e.g. passports, notarization of documents, report of birth, etc.) to persons other than the said applicants. This measure is being imposed to avoid unauthorized release and to ensure that all documents filed by applicants with the Consulate are secured. The Consulate wishes to appeal for the public’s cooperation and understanding on this matter. ###
